Of course, I had a hard time, given the ornate plot with a lot of forks, but Bioware was fully rewarded for its hard work. And, no matter how surprising it may sound, the high demand for the series in a sense played a cruel joke with it.

Even before the release of the first part, a book telling the background to Mass Effect was published.
